Golden double for Dutee in Asian Junior Championship

Odisha’s ace woman sprinter Dutee Chand achieved the biggest success of her career by winning two gold medals within a short period of one and a half hours on the last day of the 16th Asian Junior Athletics Championships at Taipei City today.

Leading the 34-member Indian squad, Dutee first emerged champion in 200 meter sprint with an impressive timing of 23.74 seconds and then clinched the double by helping India win the title in 4x400 meter relay. The Indian quartet with VV Jisha, Jessy Joseph and Vijaya Kumari as the other three members clocked three minutes 40.53 seconds.
